Platypus House was established to advance public awareness and understanding about the magic of the monotremes. It is an ideal educational visit for school, family and community group visits.
Enjoy a great coffee from our takeaway café overlooking the Tamar River or have fun browsing for a gift for someone special.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our beloved platypus, Dawn, on March 9th due to natural causes. She will be profoundly missed by the entire Platypus House team and all the visitors who had the privilege of meeting her. ❤️
